Hello July

7.1.2020

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who showed up to my virtual classes. We are living in times of both challenge and hope, and it's never been more important to find ways to connect and deepen our practice. I have been taking time to sit and listen into the wisdom which whispers. What is Yoga for me? Why do I practice and teach?  Then It came simple. Yoga brings remembrance who I am. It is so easy to get caught with thoughts and things to do in busy life and forget to remember. Practicing Yoga (Asasa, pranayama and meditation) brings awareness which is yourself.  And this work is inclusive. Yoga is inclusive. That is why I like Yoga. When I started going to studio in Tokyo in my very beginning of Yoga journey, there was welcoming warm energy by Yoga itself, and also by teachers, studios and community. So I felt like I could do this work. Now reflecting my teaching, Am I creating the vibes for everyone? Who is missing out because of my lack of education, my unkind choices of words in class to create exclusive vibes? So If you call yourself, Yoga teachers, Yoga students, or Yogi, I want you to get quiet and listen into yourself with me.

What do I stand for?

Who do I stand for?

What is important to me?

What really matters to me?

Remember who you are.

And we do our work. Be responsible for your practice. Keep showing up.

Love you all,

Mana
