It's important that you hold yourself with care as you navigate your practice. Yoga is not only a movement practice, but a way to connect with your body and seek. This workshop is the perfect introduction to this transformative practice. 

What to expect for this workshop

  • Learn the foundational poses

  • Learn inversions (shoulder stand, head stand, forearm balance)

  • Alignment principles help you practice safely

  • Variations and modifications will be offered individually. 


Practice will be a basis of dynamic  Ashtanga  sequence and Iyengar alignment principles. The variations and movements are given for each student who may need additional help to work their way in each posture of the series. 

*This workshop is especially designed for anyone looking to gain a stronger foundation in their practice and postures. Great for beginners as well as practitioners that would like to understand the postures in more detail.

This yoga workshop is the perfect introduction to the transformative practice of yoga. The yoga practice will be a basis of dynamic Ashtanga sequence and Iyengar alignment principles. In our  yoga sessions we focus on sharpening our awareness and connection to the physical postures. It’s important to hold ourselves with care as we navigate our  yoga practice.

Yoga is not only a movement practice, but a way to connect with breath, body and awareness.

What to expect during these yoga flow workshop Sessions:

We will gain understanding of foundational yoga postures
Engage yoga alignment principles for a supportive and safe yoga practice.

Exploring pausing to reconnect to authentic self with present moment. This yoga workshop is focused on bringing you into a deeper awareness of your body, mind, and heart. From this place of deep connection, you can begin your life refresh by pausing, relaxing and pay attention.

A venue, Kirina Wellness in the Valley is located in Pai where is peaceful and laid-back vibe charming town nestled in the rice field and mountains of Northern Thailand. Centered in the middle of lush rice fields and mountains Kirina Wellness provides a complete facility with accommodation and open air studios for your next retreat in the North of Thailand.

  • You will learn Sun salutations, the fundamentals of postures and breathing techniques in a slow, safe and comprehensive way.

  • You will also have a solid understanding of each postures’ alignments and principles to practice safely.

  • Variations and modifications will be offered indivisuaully .

  • You will learn how to use props.

  • You will learn inversions and arm balance ( head stand, forearms stand, shoulder stand etc...)

How to get to Pai

Minibus

There are three services running between Pai and Chiang Mai: Prempracha, Aya Service and a new company called Green Terminal. The latter has nothing to do with the well organised Green Bus Company (which doesn’t serve Pai).

Both Prempracha and Aya advertise hourly departures for identical 150 baht tariffs. The former's buses depart from Pai bus station and the latter’s leave from outside their office. In Chiang Mai, Aya’s also terminate outside their office and Prempracha’s at Arcade Bus Station. If you have a certain time in mind, then book in advance which you can do at any hotel or guesthouse for a service charge, while you can also reserve Prempracha seats online and make payment at a 7-eleven store.

When Mana lived in Chiang Mai in 2016, she found a local Yoga studio just 1 block away from her place, met Koy. That was my first year moved in Thailand, I did not speak Thai, and Koy did not speak English much either. But somehow we connected. Since then we became friends and took trips together to practice Yoga to Ko Mak.

Mana will be back to the beloved studio, Mitra Yoga Studio teaching Ashtanga Half Primary Series. No need experience for Ashtanga Yoga. Recommend for some Yoga experience.

Road to Peaceful Self-Practice

In this weekend workshop, you will learn the poses and a set sequence based in the Ashtanga tradition. Across four modules, we'll explore Surya namaskar A & B (sun salutations), standing poses, forward bends / seated postures, backbends, inversions, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation.

Each student will learn how to use props, variations, and modifications to support their growth. With a bit of patience and effort, you can take small steps in building your creative potential and learn to encourage lightness in your practice.

At the end of the weekend, each student will leave with knowledge of how to practice a customized sequence on their own or in a studio. Like a retreat in the city, you'll have the chance to dive into an immersive experience, perhaps making new yoga friends along the way.
